Sheetrit & Wolf Gallery inaugurates a new art house in Neve Tzedek with a fundraising exhibition and sale of Israeli art for the benefit of the reservists' wives and children, rehabilitation and strengthening of the families of the fighters.

The exhibition, titled "One Family," presents a selection of dozens of works that reflect the diverse and generous Israeli spirit. The exhibition, which connects generations and styles, features Israel's leading artists, veteran and renowned artists, alongside promising young ones. It presents a diverse collection of local formulaic works created by "Generation of the State" (Dor HaMedina) artists such as Menashe Kadishman, Igael Tumarkin and Moshe Gershuni through works with an intergenerational Jewish connection from Ya'akov Agam to Shai Azoulay, works by world-renowned Israeli artists such as Zadok Ben-David and Yigal Ozeri and by groundbreaking contemporary artists such as Zoya Cherkassky, Roni Taharlev and Maya Gold. These were joined by famous international artists who sought to enlist on behalf of Israel in its difficult hour.

The exhibition, which combines a variety of media of painting, sculpture, illustration, photography and ceramics, will be displayed in the new art house of the Sheetrit & Wolf Gallery, an impressive three-story building with wide and bright exhibition spaces located in the heart of Neve Tzedek neighborhood in Tel Aviv. Following the war, gallery owners Ruth Sheetrit and Jonathan Wolf Abramchik moved up the launch of the new building, scheduled to open in spring 2024, with a solo exhibition by Richard Orlinsky, one of the world's most famous artists. The two immediately enlisted to hold a fundraising exhibition in collaboration with dozens of artists for the strengthening and rehabilitation of the women and children, the families of reservists recruited to preserve the country and the lives of us all. 

The profits from the sale of all the works of art will be donated to the MAMATCAL Association. The sale event for donors from Israel and the world, which will be held in the presence of business leaders, public figures, the best Israeli artists and representatives of the families of the reservists, will be hosted by the actor Lior Raz, creator of the TV series "Fauda". 

MAMATCAL is an NGO that was established in April 2023, on the eve of the "Swords of Iron" war. The wives of the battalion commanders in the reserves, who are experienced in integrating the routine of the reserves into family life, decided to carry out a broad support move for the women of the reserves. They chose to establish a network of women's communities spread out on the map of the country, women's communities that constitute sisterhoods of "home front fighters" in the residential area, regardless of rank, battalion or corps, women who speak the language of the place and the language of the reserves. All this to enable available support for each other and for families in reserve routine.

On October 7th of this year, MAMATCAL began emergency procedure. Their work and vision fulfill themselves in strength while fighting for the house, and they maintain contact with 125 women's communities throughout the country. The wives of the reservists made it through October 7th alone! With a severe sense of anxiety and loss of confidence for them and their children. All this, in addition to the severe anxiety for the welfare of the spouse and the complex routine of life as a single parent during combat. The association's chairman, Naama Levy Shaywitz, the management team and the battalion commanders' wives are determined to restore security and function to their homes. "It is our duty to help the couples meet and recover together, while receiving professional support that will restore resilience to the homes and maintain functioning at home and in the reserves."
